Our Story
Silk Alchemy was founded in 2022 in the coastal surf town of Raglan, New Zealand. The name was inspired by the art of natural dyeing and eco-printing, where founder Amanda used foraged plants to create vibrant colors and intricate patterns on silk garments.
Her creative journey soon led her to silversmithing, a practice that immediately felt like home. From her studio nestled in native bush and overlooking the ocean, Amanda began crafting jewelry infused with the same connection to nature that first inspired her. Each piece reflects her love for the outdoors, balancing organic textures with timeless forms.
What began in small Raglan shops quickly expanded, with her work finding a home in New England boutiques as well. After more than five years living in New Zealand, Amanda now divides her time between the forest and sea in New England, where she continues to create every piece of Silk Alchemy jewelry by hand.
Silk Alchemy was born from the desire to create lasting memories using ancient art forms that can be passed down for generations. Our fine adornments are founded on principles of biomimicry, inspired by nature, and intended to empower the wearer. Each piece is designed to remind those whom they adorn that they are a part of nature. A talisman and a reminder for the wearer to follow their own unique truth and inner knowing.
