My discretion is of paramount importance, especially as many paintings are highly personalized for healing. Therefore many pieces are not shown here and those that are are with the approval of my client.
Below are four sepia-esq mural commissions requested by the local council which best represent the area, to be on permanent public display on the external wall of the community hall. They were very specific with their subject matter. There was the old water mill, which used to be owned by the family in law of my neighbor, which made her cry in happiness when she discovered what was happening. The Rance river that flows through the village. The village church and last but not least, St. Fiacre, the hat wearing, white mustached elder gardening patron saint of the village, with the flowing spring in the back ground. Each wooden panel measures 150cm by 200cm. Click on an image below to open up a window where you can scan the cursor over the image for close up detail.
The ahimsa silk has been eco dyed, then painted using a mixture of Dupont steam fix dyes, heat fix silk paints and sometimes some fabric metallic highlights. The original paintings of 20" x 13" (33cm x 55cm approx) have been pasted on to heavy weight artist paper with high grade, non yellowing varnish and ready to frame in, typically, a 11' by 15" matting (internal measurement of matting). Larger paintings are stretched over a canvas and varnished in the same way as the smaller paintings with the same product, but will come ready to hang.
While honoring the iconography of the traditional, this is my portrayal of Divinity, Goddess/deity mainly from the pantheon of Eastern spirituality. I typically work from templates that I draw up and trace onto the silk. Each painting has its own unique expression and energy that can never be reproduced. Please note that Silk art is best appreciated in the flesh.

Unless stated, the 35cm x 55cm pieces are unmounted, stretched and varnished over artist's 300gm paper ready to frame.
